Crag Cave boasts an amazing 3.8km long network of caves walled with gloriously aged limestone: over the last 15,000 years excellent specimens have formed into stalactites and stalagmites, pillars, curtains, flowstones and straws, offering an unparalleled opportunity to see in precise stages the geological history of the cave.
Most kids will enjoy the melodrama of descending beneath the ground and the caves are pleasingly yet un-intimidatingly atmospheric. Even those who aren't so keen however will adore the Crystal Gallery, where hundreds of bright white calcite stalactites hand delicately from the roof of the cavern and is a spectacular sight!
Above ground here you can find the Crazy Cave Activity Centre: a climbing and caving themed adventure play zone with 2 levels of all the usual exciting equipment and play features plus a sports court and a rodeo bull! There's a separate and enclosed zone for the smaller kids with fun stuff in just for them, too!
There's more fun outside if you've got the weather to enjoy it, with more adventure play equipment and climbing structures, more slides and a climbing wall!
The Crag Cave site is also home to Kingdom Falconry with regular flying demonstrations on offer plus guided hawk walks and special experiences.
With this much to choose from (do it all! Go on!) it's easy to accommodate kids of differing ages on the same site and meet up for lunch!
