Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens

"what are we doing today?"

Take a break on animal adventure at the Cotswold Wildlife Park! Encounter anteaters, peer at giraffes, roar at the lions or waddle like a penguin, in over 160 acres of beautiful parklands.

Take a ride on the railway around the park or climb into the tree house in the adventure playground.

You’re never too old to visit, there’s something for everyone. Whether it’s the beautiful planting, or over 250 different species of animals, insects and birds. It’s wheelchair and pushchair friendly!

Take a picnic and watch the rhinos and zebras while you eat or enjoy lunch in the Oak Tree restaurant.

Take shelter inside our reptile house (if you dare) and peak at the snakes and crocodiles or hide away in the dark bat house. Creep into the tropical house and see if you can spot the sleepy sloths or leap about with the lemurs in their walk-through enclosure so much to do!

Take a peek at our website for more information and events…

"i'm hungry"

At the Cotswold Wildlife Park we have an undercover picnic section and outdoor eating areas. Hot and cold food can be purchased in our self-service Oak Tree restaurant. We also have kiosks that sell a variety of refreshments.

healthy food

Vegetarian options are always available in the Oak Tree restaurant. Children’s portions and baby bowls of main dishes are also available.

"Can I have one of those?"

We have a shop that has recently been extended, that sells children’s toys such as cuddly animals, gifts such as photo frames and Cotswold Wildlife Park souvenirs such as stationary.

"i need a wee"

We have toilet blocks around the park which have baby changing facilities. We also have disabled toilets.

and baby come too...

We sell baby food in the restaurant at a reasonable price. We have a microwave and/or hot water also in the restaurant to warm baby’s milk or baby food.

"are we there yet?"

The Cotswold Wildlife Park can be found on the A361 two miles south of its junction with the A40 at Burford.

...got any top tips?

The park is buggy friendly. In wet weather we advise you bring your wellies and other waterproof kit. Picnics are a good option , especially if the weather is fine. Check our website before you come to see if there are any exciting events happening! A limited number of wheelchairs are available from the main office. There are no restrictions for those with limited mobility.

Visitor Reviews

This is an excellent animal park located on the A361 between Burford and Lechlade. Lions, rhinos, tigers, penguins and more...easily an entire fun day out for sure. We've been here a few times over some years, hmmm, might be time to go back again! Gladly!
