Cotswold Motoring Museum

"what are we doing today?"

Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection is a fun packed indoor museum with loads of activities for the children.

With seven unique galleries including an enchanting toy collection, the museum is a nostalgic journey through the 20th century, making it a vintage day day out for the whole family to enjoy.

The museum is bulging with great cars, quaint caravans, precarious looking motorcycles, enamel signs and an intriguing collection of motoring curiosities.

Showcases are packed with memorabilia, from gramophones to cameras, you will need to look high and low, and every corner is filled.

Throughout the museum there are sounds and smells from the days of the blacksmith through to the era of heavy metal and glam rock.

You will be delighted to find Brum. He lives here, in the Museum, and this is where he was filmed. He loves having his photo taken, so don't forget your camera.

Running through the museum there are quizzes, feely boxes, building games, brass rubbings, old fashioned toys and dressing-up boxes and this is not just for the grown-ups, kids can join in too!

"i'm hungry"

There are no refreshments available on the museum site, but there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and fish & chip shops within a few steps from the museum.

In the summer, many people bring along a picnic and sit by the river.
