Clissold Park

"what are we doing today?"

Clissold Park
One of Hackneys best loved traditional river parks, with a rich history, this former country house estate, Clissold Park, was first opened to the public in 1889.
In 2010 Clissold park was awarded a Green Flag award.

The Green Flag Award Scheme recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country. Hackney currently has twelve Green Flags: one of the highest totals in London.
Facilities include children's play area, basketball and tennis courts, conservation and woodland areas including a deer enclosure, and organic nature garden and butterfly tunnel (Tuesday and Thursday, 12.30pm to 2.30pm).
They offer a summer paddling pool that opens Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays, 11am to 7pm.
They also have ping pong tables but remember to take your own bats and ball.
