Clearwell Caves are a natural cave system that has been mined over the past 4,500 years to form some of Britain's most atmospheric and oldest underground mine workings, created by generations of Forest people who carved a living from mining iron ore.

You will enjoy the nine impressive caverns open to the public, with geological and mining displays throughout.

Dress warmly as the underground temperature is a constant 10 degrees. Wellies are a good idea for children.

There are no steps, just slopes with handrails so buggy friendly.
