An afternoon on a steam train is always a great idea for a family day out in staffordshire - especially if the kids are completely hooked on our good friend Thomas the Tank Engine.

From a pot of tea to light meals, the dedicated staff in our tea rooms at Kingsley & Froghall will be delighted to cater for your every need and will make your visit special and memorable. A wide variety of food and drink is always available including seasonal items and home made specialties. Spoil yourself, savour the surroundings and watch the trains come and go.

Our enlarged souvenir shop is now located at Kingsley & Froghall Station and offers a wide variety of gifts including Thomas and Chuggingtons. Knotty Ted DVD and story book also available.

Kingsley & Froghall station is on the A52 Stoke on Trent - Ashbourne road at Froghall, access is adjacent 'The Railway Inn' public house. No restrictions apply and the car park is ideal for coaches. Cheddleton village is on the A520 Leek to Stone road between Leek and Cellarhead (junction with the A52 trunk road). On entering Cheddleton village, brown tourist signs direct you along either Station Road or Basford Bridge Lane, either of which will bring you to Cheddleton station. The station is approximately a mile from the main road.

During Februay and August, come and see Barney Buffers featuring the Churnet Valley Railway's very own bear, Knotty Ted. Special events including Teddy Bears Picnic, Mad Hatters Tea Party and new for 2011, The Pirates of Consall Bay.
