Chucklebutties Play & Party Centre is an indoor soft play area with a difference - adults love it too! With views from massive windows overlooking the beautiful Derwent and Belper River Gardens, adults can sit in comfort and relax while the children play.

The award-winning cafe serves mouth-watering homemade cakes, hearty meals and snacks with a healthy emphasis, as well as real coffee and loose-leaf teas.

The playframe includes four slides, bouncy castle, mini car track, climbs and rope bridges, and is suitable for toddlers up. A baby area is situated within the cafe so little ones can play safely with parents nearby.

Our friendly staff run Busy Busy Activity Sessions every weekday at 11am and 2pm, which include cooking, singing, story time, craft, toy sets and organised games. Our website events page has up to date details of upcoming sessions.

Our award-winning cafe serves coffee, loose-leaf teas, homemade cakes, snacks and home-cooked meals, as well as a large selection of cold drinks. We won Best Food and Beverage Offering at the national Play Providers Association Aspire Awards in September 2010! We try to offer something a cut above with local suppliers and unusual items where possible.

We are the only play centre in the Amber Valley to have received the Heartbeat Award for offering good, healthy food while maintaining a good standard of food hygiene and a smoke-free environment. We can cater for most special dietary requirements - please ask for advice.

We sell a range of branded items including bears, gym bags, caps, pencils and erasers, as well as gift vouchers.

Find Chucklebutties at the north end of Belper town centre, between the historic Belper Mills world heritage site and the beautiful River Derwent. From the A6, follow the brown signs for the Derwent Valley Visitor Centre.

If parking is tight in the front car park, there are plenty of spaces behind the centre in the River Gardens Public Car Park (left off the A6 towards Matlock).

You can then access Chucklebutties over the mill race bridge, between the red brick mill and the river. We are a 5 minute walk from the centre of Belper (on the Derby to Matlock train line, and well-served by local and TransPeak buses).

Make the most of our facilities with babies and young children at our pre-schooler only sessions, every Tuesday from 10am to 2pm, even during school holidays! Keep an eye on local toddler magazines for vouchers, or try the Vouchercloud mobile app.
