China Butterfly craft centre is the ideal place to chill out and try some new crafts, we have a wide variety of activities available which are perfect for spending time with your kids in a fun environment, the pottery painting studio is open during normal shop opening hours and does not need to be pre booked, although we can be busy during school holidays and at weekends, so we recommend calling ahead to book a table so you aren't disappointed. Other activites such as potters wheel, jewellery making, card making and handbuilding with clay must be booked in advance.

China Butterfly also host creative birthday parties for all ages, a wide range of workshops, evening classes, afterschool craft clubs and a Saturday craft club (needs to be booked in advance) we also stock a wide variety of crafting materials including card making and scrapbooking supplies, clay, pottery painting kits, paints, canvas, jewellery making findings and beads plus much more!

We offer a cup of complementary tea, coffee, or juice for all painters. There is a wide selection of cafes and restaurants a 5min drive away in Formby village if you are looking for something to eat. Alternativly there is a cafe at Tesco which is a 2 min walk away.

We sell a wide variety of crafting materials and also crafty kits to take home to keep the kids entertained.

We have shared toilet facilities, although unfortunately no disabled toilet and no baby changing facilities on site.

China Butterfly is based on Altcar Rd, easily accessible from the Formby bypass (A565), turn off the bypass at the Tesco junction [left if coming from the north (e.g. Southport) or right if coming from the south (e.g. Liverpool)] we are situated just past Tesco between Formby cycles and Pearl bathrooms, opposite Formby football club.

At China Butterfly things can get a little bit messy!, although we do provide aprons we advise that you don�t wear your best clothes.
