The park contains wild cattle and many other interesting creatures.

Roe Deer and Fallow Deer can often be seen, while the Red Squirrels, Foxes and Badgers who live here are more wary and are not so often seen. The park is also home to over 50 species of birds, and is the most northerly outpost of the Nuthatch. The lower part of the park contains a tangle of alder trees and looks much as it was in medieval times
