Centre for Life
The Centre for Life features a permanent exhibition that tells the story of Human Life through three major themes; Our Origins, which looks at human evolution, Our World, which looks at how we cope with extreme environments today, and Our Future, which investigates the scientific challenges and opportunities before us.
The Centre houses the regions largest Planetarium with a rolling programme of features suitable for the under 7's through to adults.
The Life Theatre allows visitors to watch theme live demonstations by Science Explainers and the Motion Ride, on offer to those over 4 feet, currently explores the secret life of deep sea creatures. This summer's temporary exhibition 'Wallace & Gromit Presents ...A World of Cracking Ideas' runs from 16th April to 30th October.

By Public Transport: The Centre for Life is only a two minute walk from Newcastle Central Station Metro, the mainline rail station and local bus services. By Car: Life is situated a few minutes drive from the A1 (M) and is located on Scotswood Road. Up to 500 parking spaces are available at Times Square multi-storey car park, a few minutes walk from Life.
The Centre for Life is buggy and wheelchair friendly, assistance dogs are welcome.
