Family friendly events take place most school and Bank Holidays – please visit our website for the latest information. Other attractions include a choice of 6 shops, including plant centre and farm shop, as well as 3 cafés – serving homemade food to suit all tastes and pockets.

A choice of 3 cafés serving homemade food. Includes self- service, at table service and kiosk. Serving snacks through to 2 course meals throughout the day.

Most dietary requirements are catered for.

A wide selection of novelty gifts and souvenirs for children, through to homewares, toiletries, books, plants and local produce.

Baby changing facilities are available.

To enjoy Castle Howard in all weather please be prepared with suitable footwear. Please note that pushchairs are not allowed inside the house, but hip seats are available to loan.

House: Open 1 March to 1 November and 28th November to 20th December 2009.

Open: 10am Close: 4.00pm (last admission to the House). Close 6.30 or dusk in winter.
