The Burren Bird of Prey Centre is home to interesting birds from all around the world including iconic ones easy for kids to recognise, like falcons, hawks, owls, eagles and vultures.
Each naturalistic enclosure offers an opportunity to see, hear and interact with these majestic creatures and learn about the ancient sport of falconry. You'll also get to see some really rare birds who are part of the World Wide Breeding Programme of rare and endangered species. A great chance to slip in secret schooling while the kids are interested, with plenty of educational information available on site.
Commentary-led flying displays from a custom built arena allow your family to see the power and grace of these magnificent birds of prey.
If you fancy some extras you can also book a guided Hawk Walk led by an experienced handler who will give you the opportunity to handle, fly and feed one of the birds!

It may be worth checking out Burren Bird of Prey Centre's website to see if there are any special events or seasonal fun things to do that may be going on during the day.
We do strongly suggest you contact Burren Bird of Prey Centre before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, as there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.
