Attraction Information
Bridlington South Promenade Beach is very popular with families especially during the holidays, with its lush sands curving into the far distance backed by low eroding cliffs and sand dunes that look great but that you must keep the kids (and dog) away from. You will usually find the crowds further on near the Spa and Princess Mary Promenade past that you will discover some more peaceful spots and you can walk all the way to Hornsea, if you wish!
The Kiddies' Corner can be found just past the Spa Royal Hall and has munchkin size rides, slides and other games to liven up the day for them. Opening times are subject to weather conditions so stay flexible!
The chambering local Land Train operates from Belvedere Car Park to the Spa Royal Hall and can provide some relief to maturer feet while the smalls wave at total strangers from the windows (who may wave back, you never know, they're pretty friendly in Yorkshire!). When you're ready to get back into the fray there's the Paddling Pool on Princess Mary Promenade, which is happily now (summer 2015) open again after refurbishment!
It's no trouble to hook yourselves up with a little home away from home if you fancy it: there are are 30 chalets along Princess Mary Promenade, some are available on daily weekly hire, with another 19 chalets along Belvedere Promenade and 16 chalets on the beach at South Cliff. Telephone 01262 678255 for booking!
Deckchairs are available for hire from several rental points to if you don't want to tote everything along with you. There are also public loos handily beachside and in the peak season there is a first aid station and lost children's contact point that hopefully you won't need!
