Bourton on the Water Eye Spy Mission

"what are we doing today?"

Bourton on the Water Eye Spy Mission Trail
On the Bourton on the Water Eye Spy Mission Trail children will love following the picture clues to solve the puzzle and won’t even realise they are learning something about the area whilst getting some gentle exercise.

The town has lots of great places for children to enjoy and this picture trail takes you past many of them – choose to visit there and then (additional entrance fees may apply) or return later.

Because all Treasure Trails clue answers are based on permanent monuments, buildings and structures and so won’t go out of date, you can follow the Bourton on the Water Eye Spy Mission Trail whenever you like, take as long as you like and stop as often as you like along the way. Then, when you’ve completed the Trail, you can submit your answer online for a chance to win a cash prize too. >p> Pack a picnic or take advantage of one of the many great pubs, cafes and restaurants for a complete day out with the kids.

"i'm hungry"

Bourton on the Water has a huge selection of cafes, pubs, restaurants, ice-cream parlours and fish and chip shops to suit all tastes and budgets, or why not pack a picnic to enjoy by the riverside.

"i need a wee"

There are public toilets in the suggested car park and at both ends of the town.

"are we there yet?"

The Bourton on the Water Eye Spy Mission starts and finishes in the High Street close to the War Memorial (GL54 2AN). We recommend you park in the Bourton Vale Car Park in Station Road (GL54 2AA) a short distance from the A429 where the town and parking are clearly signposted. Once parked, follow the 'footpath to village' sign keeping the dry stone wall on your right. Turn right at the 'T' junction then left down Moore Road towards the town to begin the picture Trail.

...got any top tips?

The Bourton on the Water Eye Spy Mission Trail is 1.5 miles long and on flat terrain throughout. It should take approx 1.5 hours to complete. The route is entirely paved underfoot except for a short stretch towards the end as you enter the park where the path may be muddy underfoot after wet weather. Children should be closely supervised crossing roads and whilst walking along the riverside. There are public toilets in the suggested car park and at both ends of the town. This Trail is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users.
