Bournemouth Bus Mystery Treasure Trails' treasure hunts are a fantastic way to explore a new town or village whilst enjoying a fun walk in the fresh air.

Children love competing to solve the clues and don't even realise they are learning about the area and getting some exercise!

The answers to the clues are located on existing monuments, buildings and structures, some are easy to find, some are a little bit trickier! You can choose to solve a mystery, go on a treasure hunt or crack the code to save the world in a spy mission.

After you have completed the Trail you can enter your answer online to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize!

The 1a buses used for The Bournemouth Bus Trail are all adapted for wheelchair access.

There are many restaurants, cafes and pubs along the Bournemouth Trail route giving you lots of choice for eating and drinking.

There are public toilets along the route with baby changing facilities.

The Trail starts in Bournemouth Square. There are several car parks in the centre of Bournemouth although traffic can get very busy during the holidays. The start of the Trail is accessible by the Yellow 1a bus from Christchurch, or if you prefer to catch the train, the closest 1a bus stop is at Pokesdown, the next stop to Bournemouth. Just leave Pokesdown station, walk left out of the station, cross the road at the crossing and go right, the 1a bus stop is just a few minutes' walk. Hop on to the start of your Trail.

Trails take around two hours to complete and can be downloaded and printed at home or ordered as a booklet to be posted from the Treasure Trails website. Going on holiday? Why not order a couple of Trails before you go? You'll have lots of fun and will see a lot more of the local area.
