Bournemouth Alum Chine
Bournemouth, DorsetAbout Bournemouth Alum Chine
Home to the beautiful Tropical Gardens and has both Green and Blue Flag awards. Alum Chine is a great family friendly area with a pirate-themed children's playground! There's also a paddling pool with water pump for the smalls who don't fancy the actual sea. Beach huts are available to hire all year round from the local beach office too.
Swimming over the gently shelving sands is considered extremely safe, especially with lifeguards from May to September.
Immediate facilities include toilets with baby changing and disabled facilities, first aid post, lost children centres, pubs and hotels.
The land train runs along the promenade from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe town centre via the Boscombe Gardens or head in the other direction from Bournemouth Pier to Alum Chine Beach.
