The Blue Reef Aquarium is Bristolâ€s newest attraction, situated on the beautiful harbourside.

At the Blue Reef Aquarium, Bristol’s newest attraction situated on the fantastic Bristol Harbourside, you can experienceâ

• A shipwreck display featuring a giant wreck.

• More than 40 displays with more than 7,000 individual animals and 250 different species in naturally- themed habitats. • A fantastic viewing tunnel for the tropical reef display, where you can see 15 species of sharks and rays, including black tip reef, zebra, nurse and leopard sharks, stingrays, and thousands of shoaling reef fish.

Don’t miss the fantastic giant octopus, the turtles as they relax on the rocks, the cute seahorses, scary piranhas and the tiny clownfish… can you find Nemo?

Visitors can enjoy the closest of undersea encounters in an underwater walk-through tunnel through the reef, from inside a glass cavern and via bubble-helmet viewing points.

Blue Reef Aquarium cafe, in the entrance to the aquarium, has plenty of space and seating, with a large choice of hot and cold food, such as baguettes, soups, jacket potatoes, hot and cold drinks, snacks, and treats such as muffins, flapjacks and ice creams. There are adult and child meal deals and snacks, including pizzas, chips, burgers, and chicken nuggets. The IMAX 3D Cinema refreshment kiosk is open Saturday and Sunday, plus every day during the school holidays.

healthy food

Jacket potatoes, soups, fruit juices, water, and fruit teas are available in the Blue Reef Aquarium café. Vegetarian adults and child meal deal options available.

"Can I have one of those?"

Our gift shop sells all kinds of fun and educational toys and games, for all ages. We have helium Dora the Explorer, Nemo, Spongebob Squarepants, dolphins and shark balloons, jewellery, magnets, activity games, soft toys big and small, painting kits, pirate play packs, puzzles, creative kits, plus lots more… and for a little treat; Pucker Powder and pick ‘n’ mix for children and adults alike!

and baby come too...

There are milk-warming facilities in the entrance to the Aquarium, adjacent to the cafe for our visitors to use. The aquarium does not sell baby food.

Directions to the Blue Reef Aquarium are as follows: For satellite navigation to the nearest car park, use the postcode BS1 5LL. By Car - Via M5 (South), exit Junction 18, follow A4 (Portway) to the City Centre. Via M4/M5 (North), follow the M32 direct to the City Centre. Follow the Harbourside signs to A4/Anchor Rd and use public car parks. (Millenium Square). Other public carparks are available at Cabot Circus, Broadmead and The Triangle. Park & Ride information can be found at www.bristol.gov.uk/parkandride By train - use Bristol Temple Meads station - we are a 20 minute walk, 17 minute Ferry ride or a 10 minute bus ride. By Bus - Numbers 8 or 9 First Service to college Green, walk from College Green down the side of Bristol Cathedral.

The Blue Reef Aquarium is completely buggy friendly, and has full wheelchair access. Concessionary tickets for students, OAP’s and disabled visitors are offered. Under 3’s go free, and entry to the IMAX 3D Cinema is included in the price of your ticket. The Aquarium is fully undercover, so a rainy British day will not ruin your fun!
