Blaise Castle and Play Area

"what are we doing today?"

Blaise Castle and Play Area is a magnificent 650 acre Grade II listed registered parkland and with over 5,000 years of history, one of Bristol’s gems.

With a deep wooded limestone gorge, dramatic scenery, and ancient monuments steeped in folklore, this estate is one of the most magical and romantic landscapes in the West Country. With plenty to do for children as well as adults, it is easily possible to spend a whole day enjoying its varied features and many facilities.

The large play area, which is located close to the Kingsweston Car Park is split into a play area for younger children and a play area for older children. The facilities for younger children are located adjacent to the Blaise café and toilets and include sand play, climbing frames, a slide, swings and picnic area with picnic tables. Adjacent is a large play area for older children with climbing towers, tube slides, a zip wire, high swings, a tree house climbing frame, basket swing, roundabout, seesaw, trampoline, speaking tubes and picnic benches set in a large area of grass. Both play areas are fenced so as to be dog free.
