Blackpool Zoo occupies 32 acres of parkland providing a safe haven for children of all ages to let off steam.

Daily talks and animal feeds offer visitors an insight into the lives of their favourite species and close encounters in Amazonia and Lemur Wood bring wildlife to reality for children and adults alike.

Gift shops, miniature train rides, picnic areas, restaurant and coffee shop make this a full, fun day for everyone.

Full disabled access throughout the site. Wheelchairs or pushchairs for hire.

300 seater restaurant, coffee shop, kiosks, picnic areas.

Full range of healthy options and children's meals available.

Gifts for all ages and pockets including a selection of fairly traded goods.

Toilet facilities including disabled and baby changing facilities available throughout the site.

Baby food is not on sale, but facilities are available for warming food and baby milk.

"are we there yet?"

From M6 motorway, leave at Junction 32 onto M55 - follow brown tourist signs to the Zoo which is about 5 minutes from the motorway. The Zoo can be accessed by the number 20 bus from Blackpool town centre which runs from Spring Bank Holiday until 7th November.

Blackpool Zoo is mainly an outdoor venue, but most animals can be seen in their indoor quarters, so just dress for the weather.
