Beverley Spy Mystery Trail

"what are we doing today?"

The Beverley Spy Mission Walking Trail will take you around the beautiful unspoilt Beverley, taking in the rich Georgian and Victorian architecture and a wealth of historic sights.

Take time to explore on your own, allowing for plenty of rest stops, perhaps sinking into a comfy sofa in one of the trendy bars or enjoy a scrumptious afternoon tea in one of the traditional cafes. Alternatively, Beverley Westwood, a lovely large pasture, perfect for family picnics, is located nearby. As you relax, you will see cows grazing, as in centuries gone by.

Regrettably the Trail is not suitable for wheelchairs due to narrow pathways and cobbled streets.

"i'm hungry"

There are many restaurants, cafes and pubs along the Trail route giving you lots of choice for eating and drinking.

"i need a wee"

There are public toilets along the route with baby changing facilities.

"are we there yet?"

The Trail starts outside the railway station in Beverley, which is reached by road on the A164. There is a car park there.

...got any top tips?

Trails take around two hours to complete and can be downloaded and printed at home or ordered as a booklet to be posted from the Treasure Trails website. Children love competing to solve the clues and don't even realise they are learning about the area and getting some exercise! The answers to the clues are located on existing monuments, buildings and structures: some are easy to find, some are a little bit trickier!
