Its present size of almost half a mile.

The line now boasts two tunnels, steaming bays where locomotives are prepared for running, covered accommodation for rolling stock, fully automatic colour light signalling. The track itself, of elevated construction, is in two gauges, 3 1/2" and 5".

The railway can be found at the western end of the Beech Hurst Recreation Gardens in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

We do strongly suggest you ring Beech Hurst Park Miniature Railway before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.
