Attraction Information
The 3 stations on the Battlefield Line Railway are Shenton (an award winner), Market Bosworth and Shackerston, the latter of which is the HQ station where you'll find the loco shed and main rolling stock plus their Victorian Tea Room and Souvenir Shop. There's disabled access throughout all 3 stations and loos at Shenton and Shackerton.
It should be noted on approach that the signs for Battlefield Visitor Centre do not take you to the station, rather to an attraction some 15 minutes' walk away (which is also worth a look around if you've plenty of time). The walk is far from an unpleasant one and you can stroll alongside Ashby Canal too, but if you prefer not to then there is parking at all of the stations too.
Trains run on weekends between March and November plus on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during July and August, just Wednesdays in September and throughout the half term weeks in October.
