BBC Birmingham Visitor Centre
Birmingham, West MidlandsAbout BBC Birmingham Visitor Centre
BBC Birmingham's Visitor Centre tucked away on Level 3 of The Mailbox. Visit and have your photo taken with Doctor Who's Tardis or a Dalek!
You can also pose behind the Strictly Come Dancing desk and show off your best Len Goodman impression. There is an array of ballroom outfits from the TV series on display as well as variety of TV props and memorabilia to see. Look through the viewing windows into BBC WM and BBC Asian Network to see your favourite presenters live on air, while keeping a look out for Midlands Today presenters as they prepare for the latest local news bulletin.
Upstairs in the Visitor Centre you can try your hand at presenting the news, weather or even Blue Peter; a challenge for all the family as it's not as easy as it looks! Can you keep up with the autocue and point in the right direction on the weather map?
Record your fun efforts and watch them again at home or school to astound your friends and family. You will also have the opportunity to visit the BBC Blue Room where you can see tomorrow's BBC... today. This is a free interactive exhibition showcasing the very best in content and services from the BBC, as well as innovative technology that is still being developed.
