Attraction Information
Yesteryear’s England is yours to explore at the Avoncroft Museum through lovingly restored buildings, a miniature railway and a... Tardis? With 700 years of history to delve into, just trust them on that last one!
This open air museum sits amongst acres of wildflower meadows and orchards. Dotted throughout are 19 historic sites like a medieval townhouse where you can picture your ancestors going about their daily lives. Next for all out weird, visit the National Telephone Kiosk Collection with its 32 pieces dating back to 1912, right up to the present day. It’s niche stuff but totally intriguing, especially when Doctor Who fans can climb inside their very own Tardis!
On selected days you can hop aboard a miniature railway which is always a favourite with kids - just call ahead to check availability. They also host loads of events throughout the year, like open-air Shakespeare, blacksmithing in a real forge or lessons in survival. Add the perfect finishing touch with a trip to the award-winning Edwardian Tea Rooms with fresh produce straight from their period gardens.
