Avon Valley Railway
Avon Valley Railway offers more than a train ride: it also offers the opportunity to explore the delights of the river valley.
The heart of the railway is Bitton Station, an original Midland Railway station, which like the locomotives, carriages and track has been restored by a team of dedicated volunteers.
This is your chance to travel back in time to train journeys of yesteryear.
And we offer a host of special trips too from Teddy Bears' Picnic to Santa Steam Specials.
Plus there's visits from Thomas the Tank Engine and the chance to spoil an adult with courses giving them the chance to drive a real steam train!
Not forgetting the chance to enjoy a Sunday Lunch on board or a child's birthday party.
Avon Valley Railway provides a full cafe service with seating in a restored carriage on the station platform. There is also a picnic area at Avon Riverside.
Salads and jacket potatoes available during the summer months.
Lots of Thomas the Tank Engine goodies, pocket money items available for the children. Railway books, magazines and DVDs for the enthusiast.
Disabled toilet and baby changing facilities.
No milk warming facilities available.
