Attraction Information
Families exploring Audley End House and Park have a period delight in store for them as they experience the opulent rooms and atmosphere, not least with the great Braybrooke's Natural History Collection!
The newly opened nursery showcases the playthings and childhood of posh Victorian kids, plus you can also now access the Coal Gallery and learn about the servants too! On weekends from May through September in the nursery and the Victorian Service Wing a hoard of more modern neatly pressed servants descend to set things right and make shiny. May through September are also the months at which one may bump into costumed Victorian characters who will play an authentic historical role and answer all your questions, including the land steward, head gardener, gamekeeper, cowman and groom!
Then explore the Organic Kitchen Garden and you can boggle at 120 varieties of apples, 40 types of pears, and 60 kinds of tomatoes! We're not sure what they're making for dinner but there'll be a lot of it! What they do make is often served in the tearoom, great for a seasonal treat.
There's an adventure playground in the grounds next to the Cart Yard Café and family picnicking area where kites are also welcomed, plus you can visit horses in the stable block next door too where there's an interactive audio and visual display teaching about the landscaping of the estate.
