Ardnamurchan Natural History Centre
t the Centre we provide an introduction to the natural environment of Ardnamurchan, the most westerly part of the British mainland.
Our focal point is an interactive exhibition housed in the 'Living Building' where you can discover many innovative elements as well as enjoy an audio-visual presentation. A 16-page booklet, to be read at your leisure, complements the exhibition.
The Centre offers a combination of entertainment & education for all ages based on a strong foundation of relevant fact and quality presentation. Our long-term aim is to retain a fresh approach to interpreting the natural environment.
Crawl through a wildcat tunnel, search for the creatures of the "Nightwood" discover if the pine marten is in its den, study the underwater world of a Highland lochan and see live CCTV pictures of a heron's nest and what lurks under the surface of the River Glenmore. Also on sight is the Antler tea room and a gift shop!
