Join Amersham Museum to find out what life was like for people who lived here in the past.

Use our touch screen photo viewer to discover how Amersham has changed since the 1800s.

Investigate how Tudors built and used their buildings and try to spot all the original features.

Dress up in Tudor costumes and find out what toys people played with in the past.

Craft workshops run during the school holidays from Easter to October and guided walks around Old Amersham run throughout our open season.

No refreshments are available on site but you can eat picnics in our garden.

"Can I have one of those?"

Plenty of souvenirs available from postcards to books, wooden toys to flying planes. Many souvenirs available at pocket money prices.

"i need a wee"

Toilet available but no baby change or disabled facilities.

and baby come too...

We are unable to offer milk-warming facilities at the current time.

From the A355/Gore Hill: at the Tesco roundabout turn left onto Broadway. Follow the road along past the Market Hall. Amersham Museum is on the right opposite The Kings Arms. Bus services 4, 52, 62, 73, 336 and 353 all stop within a 5min walk of the Museum. The nearest train station is Amersham which is served by London Underground from Baker Street and Chiltern Railways from Marylebone and Aylesbury. The train station is approx 20mins walk or 5mins drive from Amersham Museum.

Check out our website to find out when our special events are. When the sun is shining bring a picnic to enjoy in our beautiful Herb Garden. Full access to downstairs and garden (via ramp). Limitations of building prevent access to first floor for wheelchairs but a guide is available. Staircase may be challenging for people with limited mobility.
