Ambleside Climbing Wall Is the perfect family option.

With our experienced and fully qualified instructors we’ll take you through the basics of climbing and bouldering whilst guaranteeing that the kids get loads of go's on the walls and the parents can maybe even learn a few skills on the way.
Ambleside Climbing Wall offers Taster Sessions for ages 5+ (kids under 12, need to have an Adult on the session with them taking part). We also offer Private Sessions for all ages (no adult supervision needed).
We also run our very popular Kids Clubs on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons where the kids can have fun and games on the wall and learn a few things in the process.

Cafe Altitude on site selling: an assortment of lovely cakes; Lavatza Coffees, and Alpine hot food and Alpine style dinners for those who wish to climb late.

Vegetarian food available. Special Dietary Options if requested.

We have a fully stocked Climbing Gear Shop and also a larger Mountaineering Shop underneath us.

We have no baby changing facilities, but do have two very large toilet spaces if mothers have an emergency.

No Baby Food. We can warm up milk if the parents need it.

Find us In the Heart of Ambleside Just a 2 minute walk from anywhere in Ambleside Town Centre. Follow the one way system heading towards Windermere and Waterhead. You will see the Adventure Peaks Shop, Café and climbing Wall on the right just as you leave the Centre of Ambleside. There is a large public car park directly next to The Ambleside Climbing Wall.

Bring Trainers if you can, plus loose fitting clothing to move around in. Climbing shoes can be Hired £2 No Wheelchair access as yet. Steep stairs lead to Wall.
