About The Roman Baths

💐Have a blooming brilliant day out at The Roman Baths this May Half Term.

From 23-31 May follow a brand-new family trail and take part in interactive challenges to help the Romans get ready for the ancient festival of Floralia, in honour of the goddess Flora. Make paper flower crowns and sunflowers, try your hand at ancient games and even meet Flora as she prepares for her festival.

For a small add-on fee aspiring archaeologists can even get digging for artefacts in our Archaeology Adventures sessions (26-29 May)

Walk on Roman pavements, explore the historic bathhouses, get up close to the golden goddess Minerva, and discover how the people of Britain lived, worked and played in Aquae Sulis (the Roman name for Bath).

Walk where Romans walked!

"What started as a child-free weekend in Bath quickly turned into planning our next family adventure. The Roman Baths exceeded our expectations, combining fascinating history with interactive exhibits and breathtaking sights. From the steaming Great Bath to learning about life in Roman Britain, every corner offered something new to discover. Although we visited as adults, we couldn't stop talking about how much the children would enjoy it too. If you're looking for a unique day out that is both educational and memorable, the Roman Baths is a must-visit attraction in the heart of Bath!" ...read more.

Taking in over 2,000 years of history at the Roman Baths. A picture-perfect moment from a truly memorable weekend. Our first glimpse of the Great Bath from the terrace. No photo quite does it justice – it’s one of those views that makes you stop, take a breath and simply take it all in.A kind tour guide spotted us admiring the view and offered to take our photo. It’s now one of our favourite memories from the Roman Baths, with the Great Bath and Bath Abbey providing the perfect backdrop.
